Succulents have been a growing trend for decorating your home for a while now and I’m so delighted to see them in wedding design too. These versatile and sustainable beauties can be incorporated in to your table decoration, your bouquet and even used as favours. Their great range of colours can suit many different styles and you never need to worry about them wilting.

We paired them with bright blooms and bold crockery for maximum effect, also adding grapefruits for another quirky element! The terracotta pots and rough linen napkins kept things fairly earthy which suits a wedding by the sea perfectly. No dinner on the coast is complete without a huge helping of candles and fairy lights, which only deepened the shades of the grapefruits and created a tender, romantic atmosphere, with the light dancing off the coloured glassware and the glistening, gold cutlery.
